With great power comes a chance to influence energy policy
Large corporations looking to demonstrate responsibility and leadership to shareholders need not look further than renewable energy. Corporate solar projects are an effective way to streamline your energy portfolio, trim utility costs and bring positive attention to your company and community. A commitment to solar power is a sign that your company will be thriving well into the future and saving money on its way there.
Featured corporate solar project: Timex Group
To reduce reliance on the electrical grid, Timex Group had 800 pole-mounted solar panels installed on the lawn adjacent to the entrance of their headquarters in Middlebury, CT. The installation, completed in 2009, is one of the largest ground-mounted solar panel arrays in the entire northeastern United States. This clean energy project was made possible by a grant from the Connecticut Clean Energy Fund.
Near the end of 2008, construction began on the second largest ground-mounted solar array in the northeastern United States. Timex Group USA’s 800-panel solar array was inaugurated on February 5, 2009 during a press event held at the company’s Middlebury, CT headquarters.
