Shelburne Farms has set a goal to produce all its own electricity, and this 150 kW installation lays the groundwork for that goal to be completed. The three-quarter acre solar orchard site was carefully chosen to maintain the aesthetic and historical integrity of the Farm, and includes a public information kiosk with information about the project.
